I can remember that very moment when my mom walked into our living room and said to me,"Your going!". She had just got off the hone with the producer for a new reility t.v show ab3 skateboerders who traveled to and stayed at the world renowned camp woodward. I couldn't believe it, they had picked me to star in a new series and to stay at camp for two weeks. As she explained the details i could barely pay attention because i was so excited, and overwhelmed with the amazing feeling that i was going. I had never been to woodward, or an action sports camp for that matter, but i knew these 2 weeks would change my life.
3 days later a filmer from the t.v station Fuel t.v came to document my home lif and how excited i was to go to woodward. for the next few days we filmed me skating some of our friends ramps, surfing, playing guitar with my friends and of course getting all packed up for my two weeks at camp. After all that my family and filmer all drove up to L.A.X airport where i said goodbye to my family. that was a very bittrsweet moment becausei had never been away from my family for more than a day or two. now i was leaving for two weeks but i was traveling to the best place a skater could be, and a place i had wanted to stay at ever since i was a little kid. From L.A.X we made the 5 hour flight to Washington Dulles airport and caught a connecting flight to state college pennsylvania. wen we arrived there was a brand new H2 Hummer waiting to take us our final half hour journey through the pensylvania countryside to Woodward
That entire car ride was torture as i couldn'twait to finnaly arrive at camp. I kept scanning around the lush, green rolling pennsylvania hills until finally the giant sighn saying welcome to Woodward came into sight. As we pulled down the driveway and approache the massive complex i felt week in the knees and had the biggest sense of excitement i had ever felt
As soon as i got out of the Hummer I was surrounded by camera men and sound guys all testing sound and trying to get a shot. I stood there for a few seconds not sure what to do. Then to my relief, the producer pushed through the crowd an d introduced himself to me, the rest of my camera crew, showed me what to do, and told me where everything was. After that we immediatly started filming and interviews.
Those next two weeks were filled with all sorts of new experiences for me. Everything from paintballing and Go-karts to learning to skate massivve vert ramps and trying hand rails for the first time. Whie I was their i made some of the best friends i have who i still keep in touch with. I also had an incident where i misplaced 100$ but thought it had been stolen. it took a phone call to my mom and here ridiculing me to figure out it was in the back pocket of some of my carry on shorts i had with me on the airplane.
Those two weeks there were two of the best in my life and i was so proud when the show premiered that next Febuary I will remeber those two weeks for the rest of my life. I will always remeber everything i did and all the amazing people I got to met. However this experience really changed me because at Woodward there isn't anybody to tell you what to do and when to do it. This taught me how to be independent and what I think was the most important thing is that it taught me was that i could and will be able to be self reliant in the future. I no longer have that nagging doubt of maybe i can't take care of myself without someones guidance. After my experience at woodward i have more self confidence and know that i will be able to rely on myslf
I think hunting is only okay in some situaions only. I dont think its okay to hunt animals for game only because all that is is killing an innocent animal for no reasonable cause. the only time i think hunting is okay is when the animal being hunted is either necessary for survival or y
where to start??? Well first im a freshmen at oside high. The things im into are mainly skating, surfing, and playing music. I’ve been skating for pretty much my whole life and last year i stared in a t.v show about 3 skateborders who go to a world renowned skate camp called woodward. I’ve been playing upright bass for 6 years and playing guitar for about 4 years now. That’s about all i can think to write about myself.
